We share your excitement (and anxiety at this challenging time) so we are writing this brief update to share our plans with Alphamega for the next few weeks (April 2020).
Alphamega has started accepting orders for Delivery through Foody from the Engomi, Lakatamia, Latsia stores in Nicosia, the Polemidia and Kapsalos stores in Limassol, the Aphrodite store in Paphos and the Central store in Larnaca. The plan is to expand as quickly as possible to other Stores in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca & Paphos.
But why can’t you launch all stores at once?
We want to ensure that everything works as expected. That’s not easy at all because as you can probably guess, there is enormous demand for orders through Foody for Alphamega.
We prefer to take a couple of days extra and provide a service at the quality level you expect from Foody & Alphamega instead of rushing and providing a service that is not up to our standards.
When will Alphamega come to my Area?
We expect to start covering more areas in Nicosia by the end of the first week of April, and to add other cities in Cyprus by the end of next week. This will be done by both adding new stores on Foody and expanding the delivery zones of existing stores.
To ease the anxiety, we will start announcing on our Facebook page when a new store is launched.
Will you also offer orders for Pickup at the store?
At this time we will not be able to offer orders for pick up at the store, but if there is capacity in the future we will add that option.
Can I add some extra Product I really want to receive?
Unfortunately not. We understand that some of your favorite products are not added in the list of 1300 products that are available for delivery but those cannot be delivered at this point. You can send your suggestions to Alphamega about the products you would like to see become available.
When will I receive my order?
Our goal is to do Same day and next day order and delivery. Once the slots for the day fill up, we will stop accepting orders from a Store for the day – and start accepting orders normally on the next morning.
We have made this decision because we want to help as many people as possible.
It would have been easier to allow scheduling for many days into the future, but that would inevitably lead to all of our slots being full for the next 60 days and thus fewer people would be able to Stay Safe and place their order online for Delivery.
To make this work and help as many people as possible we need your help. Please shop Responsibly, be patient and say a simple Thank You to the people behind the scenes are doing their best to help all of us 🙂
